The Opera? At a movie theater?
That's right! The Palace 9 is pleased to be presenting the broadcast in glorious High Definition right from the Metropolitan Opera in New York City straight to our silver screen.
The Metropolitan Opera's Emmy and Peabody award-winning series of live, high-definition performance transmissions returns this fall. The seventh season of The Met: Live in HD begins with Donizetti’s L'Elisir d'Amore on Saturday, October 13 and will feature 12 live and 12 encore presentations through May 2013.
All live events take place on Saturdays. In addition to the live events, encore performances will be exhibited on select days after the respective live event.

Please be advised when you buy tickets online, there is a non-refundable service charge of $1.00 per ticket. After purchasing them online, you must bring with you to the theater either the credit card you used at the theater, OR the printed reciept (with bar code) for us to scan and present these materials at box office in order to get your tickets.
If your card is compromised or unavailable, please present us with the card number (whether active or inactive - this will allow us to retrieve your tickets). At the time of pick-up, please be sure to advise our staff that you are picking up tickets that you have already purchased online.
To buy tickets online, simply follow this link, then navigate to the date of the performance you wish to purchase tickets for using the drop down list at the top of the page. Click the showtime and proceed to follow the on screen directions.
Phone sales:
This year we happy to be announcing that we will be accepting purchases over the phone! Simply call our theater at (802) 660-9300 during any of operational hours and request to speak with a manager about purchasing opera tickets.
Please be aware that there will be a
non-refundable $3.00 service charge per ticket for sales over the phone. You have the option of either picking the tickets up at the theater at anytime, or having them mailed to you. Visa and Mastercard are the only forms of over-the-phone payments we accept.
Day of Opera:
Doors open one hour prior to the all live performances, unless our regular film schedule nessesitates opening earlier. Seating for encore performances generally occurs half an hour prior to the performance.
Seats are first come, first serve, no exceptions and
NO person will be admitted without a ticket.
Refund policy
Due to the high demand for tickets, any refunds must be requested 30 minutes prior to the start time of the show. Refunds will not be given after that time.
In addition, tickets are not transferable to another show (ie, encores). If you would like to exchange your ticket to another performance you must do so at least 30 minutes prior to the show.
If, due to inclement weather or another emergency situation you need to get a refund and cannot physically come to the theater to get a refund, we will refund your tickets over the phone (minus a $3.00 service charge), however we do require you mail the tickets to us as proof of purchase. If tickets are not received in 10 days your credit card will be re-charged the amount of the ticket.

Palace 9 Movie and Season Passes will NOT be accepted for admission to Opera performances.
An internet service charge of $1.00 is applied to each ticket purchased online. A phone service charge is of $3.00 is applied to each ticket purchsed over-the-phone.
