That's right! The Palace 9 is pleased to be presenting the broadcast in glorious High Definition right from the Metropolitan Opera in New York City straight to our silver screen.

2015-2016 Season:

The Metropolitan Opera's Emmy and Peabody award-winning series of live, high-definition performance transmissions is returning to the Palace! The next season of The Met: Live in HD begins with Il Trovatore on Saturday, October 3rd and will feature 10 live and 21 encore presentations through May.

All live events take place on Saturdays. In addition to the live events, encore performances will be exhibited the next Wednesday evening after the respective live event, followed by Thursday matinee.

Please note our Opera Policies:

Refunds and exchanges:
Opera tickets are not refundable. If you have an opera ticket that will go unused, please visit or call the box office before the date on the ticket. Tickets for a performance that has passed are completely void and cannot be exchanged. Unused tickets may be exchanged for another of equal or lesser value (an upcoming opera, an encore the following week, etc). Please note that unused tickets are not passes; that is, we cannot hold a ticket as a placeholder for any future show. If an exchange is in order, it must take place before the date on the ticket.

Online Ticket Purchases:
Please be advised that when buying tickets online, there is a non-refundable service charge of $1.00 per ticket.  After purchasing your tickets, you must bring with you to the theater either a) the credit card that was used to make the purchase, b) the confirmation barcode, which must be printed clearly in order to be scanned, or c) the 12-digit receipt number. Simply present any of these materials at the box office and your tickets will be printed sans transaction.

If your credit card is compromised or unavailable, please present us with the card number (whether active or inactive). This will allow us to retrieve your tickets, as your reservation is identified with the number on the credit card. At the time of pick-up, please be sure to advise our staff that you are picking up tickets that you have already purchased online.

To buy tickets online, simply follow this link, then navigate to the date of the performance you wish to purchase tickets for using the drop down list at the top of the page. Click the showtime and proceed to follow the on-screen directions.

Phone sales:
Simply call our theater at (802) 660-9300 during operational hours and request to speak with someone about purchasing opera tickets. 

Please be aware that there will be a non-refundable $2.00 service charge per ticket for sales over the phone. Visa, Mastercard and Discover are the only forms of over-the-phone payments we accept. Customers have the option of either picking the tickets up at the theater at any time before the performance, having them mailed, or redeeming them at the time of the performance. At the time of pick-up, please be sure to advise our staff that you are picking up tickets that you have already purchased over the phone.

Day of Opera:
Doors open 30 minutes prior to the all live performances, unless our regular film schedule nessesitates opening earlier. Seating for encore performances generally occurs half an hour prior to the performance. 

Seats are first come, first serve, unless special accomodations are in order. No person will be admitted without a ticket.

Palace 9 Movie Passes will NOT be accepted for admission to Opera performances. This includes Palace 9 Readmit cards and VIP cards.

An internet service charge of $1.00 is applied to each ticket purchased online. A phone service charge is of $2.00 is applied to each ticket purchsed over-the-phone.
